Each time I do one of these "self-serve" online interviews, I understand my motivations for writing in a somewhat different way. This interview focused on the "genre" part of the romance, which is not a label I feel entirely comfortable. Any story about two people who might or might not fall in love can be a romance, but the genre pre-supposes happy endings-- and while I am not opposed to happy endings, I am not committed to them.
