I couldn't be more delighted than to announce that a well-intentioned and well-crafted memoir has received the IndieReader Award. It's inspiring that a book with not a trace of sensationalism and nothing except wonderful writing has won-- it's a book that's far removed from the bad dad/bad husband memoirs of so many writers, and without any of the awful self-pity that makes me wince. Congratulations to the judges and to the author, Barbara Alfaro.
